The Prophecy
And in time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as : THE SON OF THE SUN.
And he shall bring Balance to the Force.

New Year, New Episodes ?
22nd January 2006
Welcome to January 2006 ! We've come a long way since the pre-release days of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and Roderick's original manually-submitted forum and his VE ! Those were the days when we were wondering how the Jedi of the Republic would appear, how Anakin Skywalker was seduced to the Dark Side by the Emperor, and if we'd be seeing Han Solo again !! I fondly recall Roderick's early virtual edition showcasing a Jedi Master leading his 12 padawan learners against the sandpeople in Fort Tusken, and when he asked me to help illustrate 'jet pods' based purely on Tunisia photos from a hot air balloon !
So 2005 saw the Saga come "full circle". And while we await the official productions of the animated 3D Clone Wars and the TV series, some of us have also been musing over whether George Lucas' vision did finish with Return of the Jedi ... or if the once-rumoured "nine part Saga" could continue with three more epsiodes.
Long-time forumer Indy500 (Scott) and I have, since June 2005, been speculating what plotlines might occur following the fall of the Empire's Second Death Star. We have been searching through old draft ideas for inspiration, as well as reviewing the existing six films for any 'loose ends' that can be used as 'springboards'. And we are now 'locking down' a three-part story that brings about an 'ultimate happy ending' which still fits in with the feel of the Star Wars Saga.
Where the Prequel Trilogy focused on the father, and the Original Trilogy followed the son's trials, the Virtual Sequel Trilogy will highlight Leia Skywalker's destiny in helping her father find a final redemption and in so doing bring ultimate Balance to the Force.
Of course, there will be villains and the Dark Side and lessons to be learned ! But not without high adventure and drama, as the threat from the enduring Imperial Remnant is resolved and the Galaxy - its populace as well as its slaves - is freed ! We'll return to some familiar worlds, visit some planets only previously mentioned, and be introduced to new locations too !
In fact, here's an early look at the amphibious world of Mon Calamar, home to that famous Calamari, Ackbar.
The Millennium Falcon returns to the base of operations built within a huge coral outcrop on the ocean world of Mon Calamar.
At least once a month we hope to give you an 'update' as to how the Virtual Edition - Sequel Trilogy (VE-ST) is faring....
