The Galactic Alliance fleet arrives at Kessel !
27th October 2010
Returning to the earlier section of the middle act of Episode VII : Plague of Doom, acting on the recent intelligence gathered by Leia, Han, Luke, and the others, the Galactic Alliance resolves to quickly mount a counter-attack against the factory on Imperial-occupied Kessel.
Admiral Ackbar leads the fleet in the Home One, and they decelerate out of hyperspace close into the orbit of Kessel and its moons. As the ships move from the iconic lightspeed tunnel, the starlines resolve, and the giant misty rock planet fills their view screens.
As the fighter ships prepare to sign in, alarms sound in the Home One as sensors detect enemy ships approaching ! From his viewport, Admiral Ackbar can clearly see six Star Destroyers rising quickly in formation to meet them head-on !
Admiral Ackbar reacts to the six Star Destroyers rising up from Kessel's surface !
The Battle for Kessel is on !

The publishers 'Scholastic' have released a short video trailer on YouTube advertising their new "3D" book, The Millennium Falcon Owner's Guide. Such video trailers for literary tomes seem to be becoming more frequent lately, with SW.com presenting one for J.W. Rinzler's The Making of The Empire Strikes Back recently. This one perfectly illustrates the very-much fictional appraisal of the Falcon's "modifications", but it looks intruiging nonetheless, even if it's clearly a dust-gatherer "coffee-table" type of book !!
