Rescuing King Oxus

| Having freed Princess Alana Seren from the high tower of the Hutt castle on Kessel, Luke leads her down into the bowels of the Imperial beseiged site. In apparent coincidence, a door opens and they face Weesla the Hutt. Angrily, Alana orders him out of the way, and the Hutt meekly obliges. Before a surprised Luke can comment, Alana gasps as she spots her uncle, the King of Townowi, below her lying prone on a laboratory table. She races down the flight of steps and gathers him in her arms, weeping, and resting her hand upon his forehead. |

| King Oxus stirs and regains consciousness. Making good their escape, they leave the laboratory, with Luke letting the Force guide him to an exit. The young Jedi leads them out on to the junkyard apron that lies at the foot of the castle, and which is now covered with piles of broken droids taken from the spice mines that are now worked by the Imperials' prisoners. |
| As they flee across the open expanse, using the droid heaps as meager cover, they are suddenly spotted by Commander Kane who orders a squad of stormtroopers to chase after them. The troopers open fire, and our heroes are forced to turn and defend themselves ! As Luke swings his lightsabre, Alana and Oxus fire back at their pursuers ! |

| In Official production news, the 3D CG animated Clone Wars series will air on the Cartoon Network from the 3rd of October, while the dvd release of the movie is scheduled for November the 11th. |
Earlier in the month, the official site revealed tentative schedules for new fiction and non-fiction up to 2011. To mark the 30th Anniversary, a new 'Making of' is set to be released for The Empire Strikes Back, in the same comprehensive and lavish style as that for A New Hope, and presented once more by J. W. Rinzler.
In addition, the Complete Star Wars Encyclopaedia, a three volume tome, will be published this year, on December the 9th. |
