The Prophecy
And in time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as : THE SON OF THE SUN.
And he shall bring Balance to the Force.

Life in the time of Covid-19
31st March 2020
Starting in China in December 2019, the new variant coronavrius 'Covid-19' has since swept its way across the globe. Like living in a nasty scary Hollywood thriller, we are hearing of rapidly rising numbers of infections and equally rising numbers of fatalities. Whether the respiratory symptoms are mild or severe to fatal it seems to be wholly random. Nearly the whole of the world's population has been advised to remain at home where possible and if venturing out to keep at least 2 metres apart ; and for only 'key workers' to be employed. Where originally the elderly and those with underlying health weaknesses were susceptible to it, now more and more younger aged and relatively healthy are succumbing to it too. It's a scary time, and no-one knows if they will contract it or to what extent. This 'lockdown' priod might last 2 months, it might last 6 months, no-one really knows and we're all waiting for the virus to spread through us and become redundant. As a self-employed driving instructor, I was forced to give up work from the 20th of March, and with two family members regarded as being at "high risk", I am only venturing out for groceries. We all take this very much "day by day".

One would have thought that I would therefore have plenty of time on my hands ; and possibly crack on with my Virtual Edition project. However, co-managing a house of four children and carrying out various tasks and opting to walk to grocery shops rather than drive and waste petrol has meant that genuine spare time has still been precious !! Still, I have been able to add one more image to the Episode VII Plague of Doom story, and added a few more scenes to my prose-format Episode X The Riddle of the Pirates story....

In the illustrated virtual edition of Episode VII : Plague of Doom the prison control centre has been captured, and the controllers and investigating stormtroopers have been imprisoned in one of the cell blocks. As the heroes decide how best to get themselves and the prisoners off Kessel, Han suddenly realises that they could steal one of the Star Destroyers parked outside on the salt flats.

You can see the VE artwork in the 'Kessel' art gallery as well as in the online illustrated story, and you can discuss this in the forum here !

For my virtual edition Episode X 'The Riddle of the Pirates', I have now written scenes describing another pirate raid, Luke and Alana and their students arriving on the factory-arable planet of Sereillia, Chewie's shuttling of some of his Jedi students to their home worlds, and Han and Leia in their Coruscant apartment reviewing the galactic situation.
